Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 Potatoes (I used Russet)
  • 1 1/2 cups Cream
  • 4 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 cup Gruyere Cheese
  • 2 tbsp. Crove Food Co. Beef Rub & Seasoning
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary
  • 1 cup Yellow onion

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Pull the rosemary off of the stems.
  3. In a medium sized pot, add butter and then add garlic and onion. Saute’ over medium heat.
  4. Then add heavy cream, rosemary, and Crove Food Co. Beef Rub & Seasoning. Simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes. Stir frequently.
  5. While that is simmering, peel your potatoes.
  6. Next, thinly slice your potatoes using a mandolin.
  7. Use a greased baking dish or an oven-safe skillet. Add a layer of 1/2 of the potatoes to the bottom of your baking dish. Then add a layer of cheese and pour half of the cream mixture over the cheese. Repeat that step by adding another layer of potatoes, cheese, and pour the rest of the cream mixture over the top.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 45-60 minutes (depending on how deep your dish is). Then, remove the aluminum foil and put back in the oven for about 15 minutes.
  9. Remove from oven and sprinkle some more beef rub over the top. Serve and enjoy!
